Meet kelsie
Kelsie (she/her) grew up in Arkansas where she studied Theatre and English at the University of Central Arkansas. She moved to Nashville in 2011 for a new adventure!
The first birth she attended was her nephew’s unexpected arrival on Thanksgiving, while she was home on break from college. It was a beautiful family experience to witness the power and strength of her sister. This was the spark that lit the path towards becoming a doula.
Kelsie is passionate about helping families through hands-on, non-judgmental pregnancy and labor support. Kelsie is DONA trained and it was during her training that she felt a peace surround her. She had found her passion with purpose.
Kelsie’s desire is to support and empower birthing persons and their partners. She believes in doula-ing the whole family. Encouraging and empowering not only the birthing person but the partner as well. “If you don’t know your options, you don't have options.” Her ability to “read the room” and bring lightness, warmth, strength, and calm has been invaluable to her clients. Her background in improv and theater keeps her on her toes and her wits sharp.
When Kelsie is not serving and empowering families, you can find her on her porch in East Nashville with her two cats--or at The Turnip Truck Natural Market nourishing her desire to learn more about holistic health and wellness by sharing her wisdom with customers. She is a forever student always learning and growing. She also enjoys playing on stage with friends around town, especially at Third Coast Comedy Club. Kelsie also LOVES being “Aunt Tootie” to her god children and 9 nieces and nephews.
