Meet Kristin
Kristin (she/her) hails from Illinois. She moved to Metro Nashville Area in May of 2022 from Austin, Texas and has quickly made it home.
Kristin has been in the public health/HIV Prevention field for 10 years with an emphasis in connecting LGBTQIA+ folks and Black women to resources bridging an ever-widening gap. Kristin has spent time providing, advocating and expanding HIV/STI testing/Sexual Wellness services to the greater Austin Metropolitan area through the local health department and community-based organizations.
Kristin began her career working at an urban core hospital getting underserved folks connected to affordable care and increasing health equity in the hospital systems through a non-profit organization. This work sparked a passion for community advocacy. Birthwork and sexual wellness is health equity, therefore the incorporation of her two passions just made sense. She has also enjoyed providing couples/families with nonjudgmental sex-positive support over the years regardless of relationship style.
Kristin trained with Doula Training International as a Full Spectrum Doula. Kristin completed her undergraduate degree at Spelman College in Psychology, and has a Master of Public Health from Saint Louis University in Behavioral Science and Health Education.
In her free time, she is tending to her houseplant collection, gardening, crafting or enjoying a good cup of tea/coffee.
