Meet Ashley

Ashley (she/her) was born and raised in California and discovered her passion for helping people in need in 2015. It started with being a shoulder to cry on, bringing a meal, helping with children, and making sure the new parents around her remembered to take care of themselves as well. It grew into being a mentor, traveling for a year teaching English and providing help in small villages, becoming a residential manager for survivors of trafficking, to now becoming a postpartum doula. Her heart has always been to step into the spaces where she can fill a need and be a support for others.

One of Ashley’s great joys is meeting people where they are. She doesn’t mind stepping into a mess (whether it’s emotional or physical) to provide assistance to put things back in place one at a time when you feel ready. A core value of hers is to create a safe space for everyone she encounters. A space to be authentic, vulnerable and to feel comfortable to show up exactly as they are. As a doula, her goal is for the families she works with to be able to look back at the 4th trimester and see how they overcame obstacles in order to make it through this transformative time.

In her free time, Ashley enjoys reading, coffee dates with friends, cooking, art, singing, walking dogs and dreaming about the future.

This is the second time we’ve used East Nashville Doulas and it’s been another great experience! Ashley is professional, kind, prompt and extremely helpful. She helped us transition and ease the stress postpartum with meal prep and house tasks that I just could not do right after giving birth and also having my hands full with two babies (a newborn and a 18 mo. old). We’ll miss her but will always be thankful for the help in such a critical time period of life!
