Meet Lucy

POSTPARTUM DOULA

Lucy was born and raised in Los Angeles and received her Bachelor’s Degree at the University of California. After working in the film industry for a few years, she traveled the U.S. and Europe, exploring and experiencing other cultures before settling in Nashville four years ago.

Lucy has adored children of all ages her entire life. Starting as a mother’s helper when she was ten, she became an avid babysitter; and has been the beloved nanny of several children over the years. Lucy found her way to doula work during the lockdown. She had always been drawn to it because of her passion for families; however, it took a pandemic for her to realize that that was what she was missing. Lucy trained with Doula Trainings International for her certification as a Full-Spectrum Doula and is thrilled to facilitate all aspects of the work. She has a huge heart that can hold space for others, speaks up for those who are unable, and believes in being of service. When her brother developed schizophrenia, Lucy became his wingman; her perception and understanding of human nature is her guiding force.

Coming from a family of artists, Lucy has the bug as well. In her spare time she can be found painting, making tie-dye, or with a camera in her hand. She loves to read, travel, hear live music and spend time outdoors with her dogs. She is also known to make a mean bumbleberry pie.
