Katherine (or "Kat" as she is also called) grew up in Maine (that makes her a Mainer!), and lived there her whole life until she moved to Nashville in 2015 with her husband for him to attend graduate school at Vanderbilt University.
She found her calling for birth work after she moved to Nashville, and completed her DONA training as a birth doula and postpartum doula in 2018. She also became a certified childbirth educator through the Academy of Certified Birth Educators. She has a passion for women's health, maternal health, and reproductive justice, and her doula work is strengthened by the drive to support people as they navigate the reproductive process.
Kat loves empowering people to take control of all aspects of their health. She has a special interest in helping people to find their nutritional balance and freedom around food.
Kat's deep compassion for birthing families shines in her work. Her clients benefit from her up-to-date knowledge of the latest childbirth education research.
When Kat is not supporting and educating families, she enjoys trying out the local breweries in town with her husband Wilson, exploring nearby hiking trails, and cooking & crafting.
